Most people create content without a plan.
They throw up a bunch of Reels, hope for views, and pray that something converts.
That’s why their content isn’t making them any money.
You need a system. A way to measure your content’s performance and reverse engineer your revenue goals.
Here’s how you do it step by step:
Step 1: Define Your Goal (Know Your Target Revenue)
Let’s say your goal is to add an extra $10,000 to your business.
Now, instead of blindly posting and hoping, we need to break it down into a measurable plan.
Step 2: Work Backwards From Your Goal
We’re going to reverse engineer this.
- 🎯 Goal: $10,000 in revenue
- 🔥 Offer: You sell a $100 coaching session
- ✅ Conversions: You need 100 sales to hit $10,000
- 📩 Leads: Let’s assume 1% of people who see your content convert into a free lead
- 📊 Views per Reel: Let’s say each Reel gets 1,000 views
Now let’s break it down:
✅ 1 Reel = 1,000 views
✅ 1,000 views → 1% conversion → 10 leads
✅ 10 leads → 10% conversion → 1 sale ($100)
So, based on this math…
Every time you post a Reel, you make $100.
Now let’s scale it up.
- To make $10,000, you need to post 100 Reels
- 100 Reels ÷ 12 months = 8-10 Reels per month
- That’s only 2 Reels per week
Boom. Now you have a clear, measurable strategy.
And if you follow my system, you can make those 2 Reels per week in under 30 minutes.
Step 3: Optimize Your Conversion (Measure & Improve Your Content)
Let’s say you start posting Reels, but you’re not making sales.
🔹 Maybe nobody is opting into your lead magnet
🔹 Maybe they’re opting in, but not booking a call
🔹 Maybe you’re getting clicks, but no one is paying
Here’s how you fix it:
1️⃣ Look at Your Click-Through Rate (CTR)
- If nobody is clicking your free resource, your content isn’t engaging.
- Your hook needs work. You’re not grabbing attention.
- Try a stronger promise in your videos.
2️⃣ Check Your Lead Magnet’s Conversion Rate
- If people click but don’t sign up, your lead magnet isn’t compelling enough.
- Test different offers or landing pages.
3️⃣ Improve Your Offer’s Close Rate
- If leads opt-in but don’t buy, they don’t see the value.
- Try a better follow-up sequence, testimonials, or a special offer.
Step 4: Make Micro-Adjustments Until It Converts
If your content isn’t converting, the problem isn’t Instagram.
The problem is YOU.
📌 Your messaging isn’t clear.
📌 Your content isn’t structured correctly.
📌 Your offer doesn’t feel irresistible.
That’s why you track, tweak, and improve.
With each Reel you post, you should be asking:
🔹 Did this get leads?
🔹 Did this get engagement?
🔹 Did this get a sale?
If not, what needs to change?
That’s how you take random content creation and turn it into a money-making system.
