The Meta Verified blue check mark—should you pay for it? Short answer: No.

Here’s why it’s a complete waste of money, a fugazi flex, and does absolutely nothing for most people.

1. The “Premium Support” is a Joke

When Meta first launched the paid verification service, I actually gave it a shot—not because I cared about the blue check mark, but because I needed customer support.

If you’ve ever tried reaching Facebook or Instagram support, you already know—it’s impossible.

So I paid for Meta Verified, hoping it would give me real support for an issue I had with my account.

🚨 What did I get instead?

  • An email response after a long wait.
  • A generic scripted answer that didn’t solve my problem.
  • A call with a rep who couldn’t actually do anything and just read from a script.
  • I still lost my account.

I paid for support and still got screwed.

If you think Meta Verified is going to help you get direct access to a real human who can actually fix your account issues—you’re dreaming.

2. It Makes You Look Fake (If You’re Small)

There’s nothing wrong with being a small account. Everyone starts somewhere.

But when you have 200 followers and a blue check mark, it’s obvious you paid for it—and that makes you look like a try-hard.

I’ve seen real influencers with 500K, 1M+ followers who don’t have a blue check mark.

And then you see some random guy with 2,000 followers rocking a paid blue check mark—and you instantly know:

💰 He paid for it.
😬 He thinks it makes him look important.
📉 But it actually does the opposite.

It makes you look like you’re trying too hard to fake credibility instead of actually earning it.

3. It Doesn’t Boost Your Reach or Growth

One of the biggest misconceptions is that Meta Verified will help your content reach more people or boost your engagement.

🚨 It doesn’t. 🚨

Having that blue check does not mean Instagram or Facebook will push your posts to more people.

Your content still has to be good for it to perform well.

If your posts aren’t getting engagement now, a blue check won’t magically fix your content or make people care.

4. The Only People Who Should Consider It…

There’s really only one reason someone might want to pay for Meta Verifiedif they’re a public figure or business that gets impersonated a lot.

If you’re someone famous or well-known, or your brand has a lot of fake accounts copying you, then maybe it’s worth considering to avoid scammers using your name.

But for 99% of peopleit’s pointless.

Final Verdict: Waste of Money

No, it won’t help you grow.
No, it won’t make you look legit.
No, it won’t get you real customer support.
Yes, it makes you look like a try-hard if you’re small.

Bottom line? Focus on creating real content, building a real audience, and proving your credibility through your work.

Not a fugazi blue check. 🚀
